Jeff was born in Park Rapids, Minnesota, to Lawrence and Grace Fick. His life was filled with love, adventure, and endless possibilities.
Jeff graduated from Park Rapids High School and the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. After graduation he traveled to Orlando, Florida, and helped open and worked for Disney World. After a few years, he traveled to Los Angeles and worked for Valley Cable Television, Universal Studios, the 1984 Olympic Games and the spin-off of the Games, the L A 84 Foundation. He also worked for the law firm of Munger, Tolles and Olson and ended his working career as an eighth grade Math Teacher for LAUSD. During this time, he married his beloved Sally with whom he recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.
Jeff’s favorite times were weekends in Palm Springs working with his Dad on projects when his Dad and Step-Mother visited January through March every year getting out of the cold Minnesota winters. And traveling the world with Sally.
He is survived by his wife Sally, Step-Daughter, Tammy, and his Step-Grandchildren, Sean and Allyson Vogl. And several Cousins, Tom and Jason Hoffa, Jill Erickson, Robin and Bob Olgren and Paul and Laurie Smith, his Step-Mother, Barbara Fick, and very special Aunt Betty. Jeff had a quick wit and made those around him laugh and feel great.
